A major cross-state coordinated investigation into an illegal gambling ring has been launched by Brazilian authorities.
Brazilian authorities have initiated a large-scale investigation named Operation “Conto da Sorte” to crack down on an illegal gambling ring. The operation, authorized by the Federal Revenue Service (FRS), is a joint effort involving three Public Prosecutor Offices and local police forces in the states of Pernambuco, São Paulo, and Ceará. The FRS has reported that authorities have already carried out a series of actions as part of this operation to combat illegal gambling activities.
